PGDip Psychosynthesis Counselling (Psychosynthesis and Education Trust, 2003)
Psychosynthesis works with the symptoms and personal issues that trigger people to seek therapy and also with the bigger picture of meaning and purpose to help individuals fulfil their potential.
Diploma in Adolescent Counselling (Westminster Pastoral Foundation 2008)
This training was invaluable in my work with young people, from 14 years and over, going through the transition from childhood to young adulthood and from home to more independent living. I have 9 years experience of counselling young people as part of my role in the Wellbeing Centre at the University of Surrey.
Certificate Couples Counselling Short Course (Relate 2004)
As my couples work has evolved I have also incorporated Imago Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couples therapy into my work and see my role as a coach to support the couple relationship to open to a deeper level of connection and intimacy.
I use the Enneagram in my work to aid self awareness and reflection. I am also a student of the Diamond Approach within the UK which is part of my ongoing commitment to continuous professional development (CPD). Please see the list of other courses I have completed over the years. I attend regular supervision to ensure I work at the highest possible therapeutic and ethical level. I am a registered provider with BUPA Private Health, WPA and Allianz and keep my Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) status current.
